Have a SUPer

day at the beach

Stand up paddle boarding can offer a fun and relaxing activity that mostly anyone can do. It is also one of the best workouts out there. SUPing is combining balance, strength and endurance. This sport is perfect for beginners, families, and anyone who is looking for a do-it-all SUP.

Our board has the dual-chamber construction which ads safety and stability for additional peace of mind when you’re out on the water.

The best VIEW comes

after the hardest HIKE

Dominating the skyline above Medveja is the long, forest-covered ridge of the Učka mountain, which divides the Kvarner region from central Istria and is protected as a Nature Park. The Slap nature trail (Slap is the Croatian word for waterfall) runs through the Lovranska draga area. It starts just behind the Medveja campsite and ascends to the village of Lovranska Draga. The interesting hiking trail leads through wonderful natural scenery, an ancient sweet chestnut forest. Situated between the blue skies and blue sea, Lovranska Draga offers magnificient views of Učka's highest peak and the entire Kvarner Bay. The view from Učka's highest peak, Vojak, is particularly impressive. From an elevation of 1,400 metres above sea level, one can admire a stunning panoramic view. In fair weather, the view extends as far as Venice in Italy.

"Lungomare"GET WALKING

(or jogging)

The "Lungomare" is one of the best-known attractions of the Kvarner Bay. This 12 km long, hundred-year-old seafront promenade runs along the coast from Medveja past Lovran, Ika, Ičići and Opatija, all the way to Volosko. Walking along the sea is the best way to take in all the shades of green and blue that make this region so special. With the sea on one side and mountains on the other, and populated with beaches, marinas, cafés, restaurants, and 19th century villas, Lungomare is enjoyed on foot almost all year-round by locals. It is almost impossible not to unwind while enjoying the sound of the waves, the visual beauty of the surroundings, and the fresh and slightly salty Adriatic air.

Parasailing is a great experience for adventure-minded guests. Imagine being whisked into the sky while strapped in a seat covered by a colorful parachute! This is a popular activity where riders can view the beautiful coast from above while being pulled by a boat. This is a fun and exciting experience for those who love heights and want a birds-eye-view of the whole Kvarner Bay.

You can't control

but you can

direct the sail.

Windsurfing is by all means one of the most attractive and most popular summer sports. The most captivating windsurfing site on the Kvarner Bay is "Preluk". Here blows the northern wind called "Tramontana", which - according to many windsurfers - is the best wind for surfing. The wind blows here almost every morning and offers unforgettable surfing experience, both summer and winter. If you wanna surf, you have to do it early in the morning, because the wind stops an hour or two after sunrise. The morning scene of many surfers ''gliding" over the water is certainly not to be missed.

A great way to experience the Kvarner Bay is to take a pleasant boat trip from Medveja's harbour and sail along the Riviera's coastline.

If you're interested, we can help you to arrange such a trip.

Enjoy the sounds of the sea and the warmth of the sun while practicing yoga on the beach, early in the morning. There are a few level surfaces which make the perfect space for any difficult standing yoga pose.

And... don't forget your swimsuit! Jumping in the water after morning sun salutations is one of life’s greatest treats. Let the sea set you free. Namaste.
